About the Band

"The Sidewalk Crusaders" is a versatile band, providing an interactive and exciting musical performance filled with many styles of music, improvised solos, and choreography. The band is available for hire and continues to play a vast variety of events. Contact the band if you would like to add some excitement to your next event!

The band is able to perform any genre of music. The genres listed consist of the most popular genres played.

Instruments used 

Instruments commonly used by the band include:

  • Soprano saxophone

  • Alto saxophone

  • Tenor saxophone

  • EWI (electronic wind instrument)

  • Clarinet

  • Flute

  • Trumpet

  • Trombone

  • Keyboard and Synthesizer

  • Electric and acoustic guitar

  • Electric and acoustic bass guitar

  • Violin

  • Cello

  • Drums

  • Dhol 

The band commonly uses a vocalist for its performance, as well.

 

For performances, the band is typically anywhere from 1 to 7 instrumentalists in size. A vocalist is often added to the group for performances, as well. For punjabi weddings, the band often consists of 1-2 dhol players, with any number of additional musicians added. The band is also ready to perform as a marching band or jazz combo, if required.

Members of "The Sidewalk Crusaders" are experienced teachers and are ready to perform on and teach instruments for clinics and private music lessons. Vocalists are also ready to perform and teach vocals for clinics and private music lessons.
